The style of Inis evolves from a backdrop of neutrals and naturals... the colour of the elements that surround us: stones on a beach or a dry stone wall, sky, sand, sea, fabric of buildings, shells, etc.  

The stock that sits on this backdrop is made up of neutrals and splashes of colour.

Inis is based in the heart of the beautiful Scottish Borders where we have three stores in the historic towns of Peebles Galashiels and Hawick.

The Inis concept was born among the rolling hills, heather moors, farmland and small villages of this special Borderland. Traditonally the home of Knitwear especially Cashmere, the small scattered communities are synonymous with good quality, and friendly communication where people know their neighbours and social circles extend throughout the network of small towns.

It is this real sense of community which comprises the heart of the Inis shops where our local customers have become friends, relying on us to bring them an inspiring mix of fashion products, from inspired international brands they would otherwise not be able to access easily. Inis has built up relationships with fashion brands which reflect it's own ethos of good quality, and great styling, and draws on inspiration from our natural surroundings.

Increasingly Inis is attracting customers from as far north as the Hebrides to as far south as London who love our informal and helpful approach to informing them of all things new, and our friendly Scottish voices always ready to help at the end of a telephone.

It is our customers who have inspired us to bring you inisonline to enable us to extend our informal and friendly values to the wider world through the internet. We hope to establish many new friends among those of you who are in similar rural locations looking to access a selection of great fashion and accessories and personal service, or those who simply lead busy lives and can come to rely on us to make shopping an enjoyable and friendly experience.
